Mission & Goals

Liechtenstein Marketing is the center of excellence for national communications. As a dynamic organization, we promote Liechtenstein as a destination for tourism and business. We are responsible for national communications and the management of the national brand, which includes product development as well as the planning and execution of events both domestically and abroad. We assist public and private clients with complex projects in the areas described.

Our Mission

Liechtenstein Marketing works on behalf of the government to raise the Principality’s profile both nationally and internationally. Our work is guided by legal and political guidelines: the Location Promotion Act (SFG), the Act on the Management and Supervision of Public Enterprises (ÖUSG), and the government’s ownership strategy.

The core tasks

National communication encompasses Liechtenstein’s strategic public relations efforts, aimed at promoting the country’s defined values, image, and economic interests internationally, building trust, and strengthening the country’s global standing. Liechtenstein Marketing has a public mandate to manage the Liechtenstein brand consistently across all areas—national communication, location marketing, destination management, and event management—and to position it effectively. In doing so, Liechtenstein Marketing focuses on a unified voice in content and imagery, clear priorities tailored to each target market, measurable impact, and transparent accountability.

Liechtenstein promotes high-quality tourism away from the crowds and is a niche tourist destination for discerning travelers who value authenticity and experiences close to nature. Covering just 160 square kilometers, the Principality offers a diverse range of natural, cultural, and culinary experiences that give the country its unique character.

We focus on our core markets: Switzerland, Germany, Austria, and the Benelux countries (Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg). Through targeted campaigns, media relations, and strong partnerships, we are building our visibility and establishing ourselves as an inspiring niche brand in Europe.

As a business and employment hub, Liechtenstein faces intense competition from neighboring regions and around the world. As an export-oriented economy home to numerous "hidden champions," the country boasts companies with international reach that provide significant impetus for innovation and employment.
