Picture Walk 2025

Since last week, 29 oversized stamps in Vaduz have been inviting visitors to take a special stroll. This year’s Picture Walk has the theme “Humanity” and winds through the historic center of Vaduz.

May 8, 2025 – Liechtenstein Marketing and Philatelie Liechtenstein have chosen “Humanity” as the theme for this year’s Picture Walk. The inspiration for this theme comes from several significant anniversaries: the 80th anniversary of the Liechtenstein Red Cross and the United Nations, as well as the 60th anniversary of the Liechtenstein Development Service. The opening took place today—on World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day—in a festive setting with Mayor Florian Meier and representatives of the Liechtenstein Red Cross, Philatelie Liechtenstein, and Liechtenstein Marketing.

Along the route from Vaduz City Hall to the Liechtenstein Center, stamps affixed to the ground feature motifs related to peace, humanitarian aid, and social cohesion. “With this year’s Picture Walk, we want to send a visible message of humanity and solidarity in public spaces,” said Ulrike Charles, Head of Tourism at Liechtenstein Marketing, at the opening.

Vaduz Stamp Experience

The Picture Walk is a joint project of Liechtenstein Marketing and Philatelie Liechtenstein.  It is aimed at both locals and visitors and invites them to explore the theme of humanity through the world of stamps. The Picture Walk takes place from May through November and is free to the public. Those interested in delving deeper into philately will find all stamps ever issued in Liechtenstein at the PostMuseum Vaduz.
