Katja Frommelt knows from personal experience what it feels like when your skin is acting up. “I have very sensitive skin,” she explains. In 2019, her skin condition worsened to the point where she needed medical help. “My dermatologist advised me at the time to pay close attention to what I put on my skin,” she says. She completed a degree program to become a certified developer of skincare and natural cosmetics—an intensive training program that gave her deeper insights into the fundamentals and more complex concepts of skincare. “The program was a challenge—it was in English and I was still working full-time on the side,” recalls Katja Frommelt. “But I am infinitely grateful that I took that step.” Her exam results reflected not only her dedication but also the added value she had gained for her future work.

After taking a brief career break to focus on building her own business, she immersed herself more deeply than ever in the world of skincare. Her community inspired her: people shared their skin concerns, and the formulator responded by creating her first formulations to provide targeted solutions. “The combination of science and nature brings me immense joy,” says the natural cosmetics pioneer.
