Rezendo

From the wrong product to the right solution. The story behind Rezendo.

January 27, 2026 - Innovation often doesn’t happen according to plan, but rather as a result of a painful realization. For Laura and Bernhard Wanger, the founders of Rezendo, the starting point was a technically flawless product that nobody wanted. Today, they draw on that very experience to help companies truly understand their customers through AI-moderated interviews. Scalable, in-depth, and efficient.

«“Sometimes you have to come crashing back down to earth to sharpen your focus on what really matters. We know that moment well. We had launched a piece of software that was technically top-notch, but shortly after the launch, we realized: Nobody wanted it. That experience made us think: Why isn’t anyone interested in the product? How do you figure out if someone really needs a product before you develop it?” recalls Bernhard Wanger.

“The answer lay in a simple truth that many companies ignore: We had developed our product without first talking to our customers. We realized that many companies, just like we did back then, develop products that miss the mark when it comes to their customers’ needs. The solution seemed obvious: conduct interviews. But who has the time in the day-to-day grind of running a business to conduct hundreds of personal interviews, analyze them, and derive strategies from them? This is exactly where the gap emerged that Rezendo fills today,” explains Laura Wanger.

From manual effort to a scalable AI solution

“The problem was clear: While in-person interviews provide a wealth of valuable information, they’re hardly scalable. Surveys are scalable, but they only yield superficial data. A simple ‘Good’ or a ‘3 out of 5 stars’ rating doesn’t provide any useful insights for true innovation,” says Bernhard.

The vision: using technology to scale empathy. Bernhard Wanger, who has been developing digital solutions since his youth and has worked for international brands, saw the potential of artificial intelligence beyond the hype. He asked himself: Why not use AI to make the depth of a personal conversation accessible digitally and at scale?

The result is Rezendo. Not a rigid survey, but an AI-moderated chat interview. The software asks empathetically, follows up on ambiguities, and digs deeper where standard forms leave off. If a customer gives an average rating, the AI wants to know: What would it have taken to impress you? This yields not superficial data, but “deep insights”—genuine insights into people’s motivations.

Innovation from Liechtenstein

“Liechtenstein as a business location and our partnership with Liechtenstein Marketing are of great importance to us. Innovation from Liechtenstein—that’s something we’re proud of. People often look to the U.S. and its startups, but we know that it’s also possible to build a successful startup here in Liechtenstein. With Rezendo, we want to lead by example—to show that ideas become reality when you simply put them into action. Short communication channels, a strong network, and the ability to make direct recommendations have been a huge source of support and motivation for us. Some of our customers are already taking advantage of this—and that makes us incredibly happy. Our goal is to support as many companies and people worldwide as possible—with a self-service solution ‘Made in Liechtenstein’.”

How does Rezendo turn ideas into tangible solutions?

Laura Wanger: “Together, we can develop ideas and test them and put them to use in a short amount of time. Bernhard loves the moment when an idea goes from concept to screen. I particularly enjoy the moment when we present the report or analysis to our clients and they’re blown away. The shift in perspective, where clients put themselves in others’ shoes, is incredibly exciting. This approach not only helps us understand needs but also identify and resolve many issues before they arise, through empathetic and understanding action.”

Who does what at Rezendo?

Bernhard Wanger laughs: “It’s clear—Laura handles the people side of things, and I handle the technical side. She looks after the clients, manages the projects, and makes sure the work runs efficiently and effectively.” She adds: “Bernhard is the genius behind the technology and brings to life the ideas that make Rezendo possible.”

I’m constantly amazed by the ideas and innovations that emerge. Sometimes it feels like we have a whole team behind us, even though there are only the two of us. We work hand in hand toward the same goals: less effort, better decisions.

Together with our clients, we identify the questions that really matter, so that the answers can be put to immediate use. Understanding your customers keeps you ahead of the curve; with Rezendo, you’ll be ready for whatever comes next.

Bernhard Wanger has been programming since his youth and has never lost his passion for it: “The challenge was to translate the personal questioning found in interviews into a scalable, electronic format. That’s how the idea for the chat format came about: instead of static forms, we created a dynamic system that asks questions, delves deeper, and provides insights. Few companies worldwide are working in this direction—it’s uncharted territory, but it works.”

The "wow" at the end

“And it’s exactly this moment that drives us,” says Laura Wanger. “When, after an analysis, a client suddenly says, ‘Now I really understand what motivates my customers—this opens up entirely new possibilities!’—that sense of wonder, that shift in perspective, that ‘aha’ moment—that’s our ‘wow’ moment.”

"We see how our work helps companies become more empathetic, streamline processes, and make better decisions. What used to take months now takes just days, and with every project, we feel our vision becoming a reality: helping people and companies truly understand one another, identify problems before they arise, and actively seize opportunities."

Started in Liechtenstein, designed for the world—Rezendo demonstrates that innovation, empathy, and technology can go hand in hand. And when Laura and Bernhard Wagner look back, they don’t just see the numbers or reports—they see the moments when change happens, and that is precisely what drives them to keep going.
