An interview by Natascha Marxer with Markus Andreas Walser and Enrico Luca Kindle on ten years of walsermedia AG | Pixel Perfect Solutions, digital expertise, and the partnership with Liechtenstein Marketing.
Natascha Marxer: Walsermedia has been around for ten years now. Can you tell us a little about how it all began?
Markus Andreas Walser: Yes, I founded walsermedia in Liechtenstein in 2014. Shortly thereafter, Enrico Luca Kindle joined as a partner, and we decided to grow the company together. From the very beginning, our goal was to offer digital solutions that are customized and precisely tailored to our clients’ needs.
Natascha Marxer: Your website features the motto “Technology meets precision and personality.” What does that mean for your work and for your customers?
Enrico Luca Kindle: That means we develop technical solutions that
meet our customers' exact needs. This includes websites and web applications that we develop, host, maintain, and support from start to finish.
Natascha Marxer: Your clients come from a wide variety of industries—what specific challenges and needs do they bring to the table?
Enrico Luca Kindle: Our clients are very diverse. For example, we work for the Liechtenstein Chamber of Trustees, the Liechtenstein Chamber of Industry and Commerce, and the municipality of Triesenberg. In addition, we work with many SMEs, for whom we develop websites in collaboration with graphic design agencies that they can maintain themselves. Custom developments such as digital customer portals or simple CRMs are increasingly in demand, as standard solutions are not always cheaper or more advantageous.
Natascha Marxer: What core competencies particularly distinguish walsermedia?
Markus Andreas Walser: Professional support and precision are our top priorities. When developing websites, we place great emphasis on so-called “pixel-perfect” designs, which means that every detail of the digital interface is designed and programmed to match the graphic design agency’s specifications exactly—down to the individual pixel. Added to this is our professional support: Our clients appreciate how efficiently and seamlessly we resolve technical issues.
Natascha Marxer: Security is a major issue in the digital world. How do you ensure it in practice?
Markus Andreas Walser: Security begins with code development and extends through the server architecture to the entire infrastructure. Since we manage our own servers, we can implement all necessary security measures directly and monitor them continuously. This is how we ensure long-term, stable security for our customers.
Natascha Marxer: You are a brand partner of Liechtenstein Marketing – Expertise from Liechtenstein. What does that mean for you and your company?
Enrico Luca Kindle: Our partnership with Liechtenstein Marketing is of great importance to us. It is not only a sign of our commitment to the region, but also a testament to the quality and innovative strength we represent in Liechtenstein. We are proud to operate in a country that is home to many competent companies that operate internationally. This partnership enables us to further expand our expertise in the digital world and demonstrate that we are competitive across borders.
Markus Andreas Walser: In addition, the brand partnership provides us with a network that is valuable to both us and our customers. Interacting with other companies and collaborating on projects not only strengthens our own expertise but also boosts the competitiveness of the entire region. It is important to us to be part of this network and to grow alongside other innovative companies in Liechtenstein.
Natascha Marxer: Who are the people behind walsermedia? Can you tell us a little about your personal backgrounds?
Markus Andreas Walser: I spent a long time studying and working in Vancouver, Canada, where I gained valuable experience in the agency industry. Even as a child, I was very interested in technology and knew early on that I wanted to become a computer scientist. After completing my training and studies in Canada, I founded the company to bring my own ideas to life.
Enrico Luca Kindle: My experience was similar: I completed a commercial apprenticeship in the municipality of Triesen and then studied business informatics while working. During my studies, I started looking for a suitable job. Markus and I complement each other perfectly and share the same passion for technology and precision.
Natascha Marxer: And what do you do when you’re not sitting at the computer? ( Both laugh)
Enrico Luca Kindle: I don’t have much free time right now, but I enjoy the mountains here in Liechtenstein whenever I can. My husband and our dog come along with me, which helps me relax, clear my head, and gain new perspectives on my work.
Markus Andreas Walser: I play the piano—the mechanics of it fascinate me as well. Playing the piano inspires me; it’s a wonderful way to clear my head and, at the same time, gain new perspectives on my projects.
The structure and harmony of the music remind me of the precision required in programming, and I find that the creativity I develop while playing also enriches my approach to digital solutions.
