As a 16-time world champion in five different martial arts disciplines, he is one of the most outstanding figures in his field. Yet his greatest achievement lies not only in his athletic success, but in what he has made of it.

Using the BUDO7 system, he developed his own concept in Japan that goes far beyond traditional martial arts. In Okinawa and throughout the country, he presented his idea at renowned schools and to highly respected masters—in the very places where the roots of martial arts lie. This recognition propelled him to the top of the international martial arts scene.

Metin Kayar has been honored worldwide for his extraordinary achievements: by the Princely House of Liechtenstein, the Japanese Embassy, and in the United States, where he received a lifetime achievement award as “Best All-Round Fighter.” In Japan, he was awarded the 10th Dan Hanshi, the highest honor in traditional martial arts. He was also named the official successor to Grand Master Soke Irie Yasuhiro.

Today, Metin Kayar is bringing this knowledge back to Liechtenstein. Through BUDO7, he creates spaces where people can grow—regardless of age or skill level. He is driven by a desire to pass on values such as respect, strength, and clarity.
