Discovering Nature: Picture Walk 2026 Opens in Vaduz
Since last week, 31 oversized stamps in Vaduz have been inviting visitors to take a special stroll. This year’s Picture Walk is dedicated to the theme of “Nature” and winds through the historic center of Vaduz.
May 5, 2026 - Liechtenstein Marketing and Philatelie Liechtenstein have chosen “Nature” as the theme for this year’s Picture Walk. The focus is on the Principality’s unique landscape. Mountains, valleys, and natural habitats define Liechtenstein and make the country a special destination for both visitors and locals. The opening took place in a festive setting with representatives from the Municipality of Vaduz, Erlebe Vaduz, Philatelie, and the tourism sector.
Along the route from Vaduz City Hall to the Liechtenstein Center, stamps affixed to the ground display striking images of nature. “The Picture Walk uniquely combines nature with culture and brings two central elements of Liechtenstein to life in public spaces,” said Ulrike Charles, Head of Tourism at Liechtenstein Marketing, at the opening.
The Picture Walk is a joint project of Liechtenstein Marketing and Philatelie Liechtenstein. It is aimed at both locals and visitors and invites them to rediscover Liechtenstein’s natural beauty through the world of stamps. The Picture Walk is open to the public from May through November. Those interested in delving deeper into philately will find all stamps ever issued in the Principality at the Liechtenstein Postal Museum.
