Team Liechtenstein is ready
The countdown is on: Liechtenstein is ready for the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan-Cortina. Joining the team: eight athletes, a branded bus, and a comedian who offers some surprising insights.
January 26, 2026 – In just over a week, the Olympic Games in Milan-Cortina will begin, and Liechtenstein will be right in the thick of it. Eight athletes will represent the Principality at the world’s largest winter sports event. The goal is clear: to deliver top athletic performances while proudly representing the Principality. “The athletes represent the country’s values not only through their athletic performance but also emotionally. A communication campaign creates greater visibility for Liechtenstein as a sporting nation and as a committed, cosmopolitan country with a strong sense of community,” says Mathias Ulrich, Managing Director of Liechtenstein Marketing.

Since December, the eye-catching, branded Olympic bus has been drawing attention to the upcoming major event throughout the country. From February 6 to 9, it will be traveling through northern Italy, ensuring a visible presence for Team Liechtenstein there as well. A special travel companion is on board—or rather, in the bus—this year: Liechtenstein comedian Moritz Schädler is traveling to the Olympic Games and, with his unmistakable style, is ensuring an authentic and humorous representation of Liechtenstein. On site and via social media, he’s taking people along on Liechtenstein’s sporting journey, turning the Olympic participation into a shared experience.
